Matthias. Coach, lifter, and deliberately not a full-time PT.
About me
By day I am an IT consultant. Next to that I have been under the bar for years: squat, bench and deadlift. I once became Belgian bench press champion. But what it really comes down to: lifting heavier, moving better, and keeping that up for years without injuries.
Why not full-time PT? Simple: I want to keep training myself. So I keep the coaching deliberately small. A handful of people, on weekends, with full attention, in my own well-equipped home gym.
My approach: I teach you to train without me. You get a personal program in the app, you train on your own, and during the weekly check-up we adjust technique and progression.
What I stand for
-
Technique first
Lifting heavier starts with moving better. Form comes before weight.
-
Independence
You learn to steer your own training. I make myself redundant.
-
Longevity
Progress that still serves you in ten years.
The app
Your program lives in an app I built myself. You see what to do for each session, you log your sets while you train, and the app keeps track of your progress. I can see what you logged, so the weekly check-up starts from what you actually did. Not from what you happen to remember.
- Your program per day: exercises, sets, reps and weight
- Log your sets while training, with RPE
- Automatic PR tracking and progress charts per exercise
- Plate calculator: the app tells you which plates to load
